Want to kill a good chunk of time out in the backyard? Make sidewalk paint! I used this recipe that I found on The Idea Room: one part water, one part cornstarch, a few drops of food coloring. Since it’s totally edible I didn’t have to worry about Augie putting it in his mouth.
I mixed a big batch up in a bowl, then divided it between four jars. The boys helped me add the coloring to the jars (I wish we’d added more), then they shook the jars to mix it in.
They painted, slapped and dumped the paint on the driveway for over an hour.
It cleaned up really easily too!
