Thomas Track Layout #6: Cranky the Crane and the Roundhouse

Thomas Track Layout

Wyatt got two great new train set pieces for his birthday this year — Cranky the Crane and a round house. He’s been having a lot of fun playing with them, but I haven’t made a kick-ass track layout with them until this morning. If you click on the photo, it will take you to Flickr where you’ll be able to see some notes I added right to the photo.

Target has track in the dollar spot right now, so I picked up a bunch of switches and little connector tracks. It’s allowing us to make a lot more complicated tracks. And when I say “us”, I mean “me”.

Easter morning layout with Wyatt’s new Knapford covered bridge. The Easter bunny got this at Michael’s with a 40% off coupon. That’s the best way to get Thomas stuff because then it’s actually affordable.

Loopy! I like it. Also digging the track under the coffee table tunnel. Wyatt couldn’t have cared less about this track. Not in the mood for trains today, I guess.

Check out this sweet train layout I made! I’m quite proud of this track layout. It’s hard enough making them by myself, but when I need to incorporate the pieces Wyatt lays down it can be quite a challenge.

I’ve decided I’m going to start taking pictures of the various track layouts I make for Wyatt’s trains so I can recreate them when I want to and so I can inspire the many other parents of train lovers out there. Internet, this is my gift to you.
