Giveaway: Steeltainer Lunch Containers

by Wendy on August 8, 2012

When the folks from Steeltainer contacted me about hosting a giveaway earlier this week I immediately said yes. Though I haven’t tried these lunch boxes myself (yet!) I have been hearing good things about them for a few months and I was thrilled to be able to offer the opportunity to win two of these lunch boxes to one lucky Wendolonia reader.

The Steeltainer is unlike any bento box I’ve seen before. A removable stainless steel inner tray sits inside an outer plastic box that is BPA & phthalate free. This set-up offers the best of both worlds: the inner container provides the durability of stainless steel, while the outer box allows the container to use a locking plastic lid that is easy for little hands to open. They are also leak-proof and can be used to pack wet foods like stews, casseroles, yogurt or applesauce.

The first box being offered as part of this giveaway is the Deluxe Sandwich and Salad Container in white. This box has a 20 oz. capacity so it’s nicely sized for a hearty bento lunch. It’s also big enough to hold a full-sized sandwich with a little room leftover for fruits or veggies. It works well for salads too.

The second item offered as part of this giveaway is a white Compact Snack Container. This box is sized for snacks (as you’ve probably gathered from it’s name) and comes with an adjustable stainless steel divider. You can also remove the divider to accommodate larger items.

Steeltainers are available online from Amazon or you can find a list of outlets carrying these products on the Steeltainer website.

Want to win these containers for your own use? Here’s how:

Visit the Steeltainer website, check out the products they offer and then leave a comment below telling me which container you would most like to have and why to be entered to win one Deluxe Sandwich and Salad Container (white) and one Compact Snack Container (also white). Also, please consider following Steeltainer on Twitter (not required for entry).

Comments will be closed Sunday, August 12 at 9 pm PDT and I’ll choose one random winner shortly thereafter. (Sorry, but this giveaway is open to U.S. and Canadian addresses only.) Winner will have 48 hours after I notify them via email to respond with their mailing address. If I don’t hear from you an alternate winner will be selected, so be sure to leave your email address and check your email.

I hope YOU win!

Disclosure: I have been compensated by Steeltainer for administering this giveaway. I also have an affiliate relationship with Amazon, so if you purchase something there via the link above, I will receive a small percentage of the purchase price.

I would love the sandwich salad container because I’ve always thought the perfect bento box would be stainless steel with a translucent, leak-tight lid. And here we go! Plus, I’m a sucker for divided sections. Love ‘em.

  • Becky

I love the divided snack container best. Stainless steel would be great and the divider would be great for all the little lunch packing choices. Thanks for the great back to school giveaway. (although -confession to make -I’m not looking forward to packing lunches again)

  • Talia

I’d like the Deluxe Sandwich and Salad container – after a 9-hour work day, I have 3 hours of class, so it would give me more options for snacks in addition to lunch (because then I have to go home and cook for the fam, too!)

  • Dawn

The compact snack container would be perfect for my son’s snack at school.

  • missweb

Just one? I think I need them all. The compact divided snack container would get the most use as we pack 2 little lunches daily. I can also see the family size getting heavy rotation as well!

  • JFair

I love these and think we would most benefit from the divided snack container. That way I could pack a fruit and a veggie in one container or even add some homemade yogurt.

Would love to send my son to his first day of preschool with his snack packed in one of these awesome Steeltainers. All the containers look great, but I am partial towards the “Compact Snack Container” which would be perfect for packing several snacks in one container for school lunches; love that it comes with an adjustable divider, as my son is so particular about his food touching other foods!

  • Alicia

I like the divided one, only because I don’t like my foods touching… :D

  • Cincy

I really like the snack container as it is the perfect size for my 6-yr old’s school lunches. They all would come in handy though. Just stumbled across your website through Pinterest – love it!

  • Christine

I am a bento box convert and am SO excited about packing my daughter’s lunches this year! The compact snack container would be the ideal size for her two year-old appetite and would keep her foods separated (which is a must).

  • Jennifer S

I’d love the compact snack container. Due to allergies I have to provide all the food that my children eat at school. I hate baggies so use a lot of plastic containers. These stainless with the locking lid look like a really good alternative to the plastic!

  • Julia C K

The compact snack container looks like the perfect size for my son!

  • Venia

I got totally lost perusing their gallery…such gorgeous photos! Forced to pick one, I’d choose the snack container. I’m interested in checking out the adjustable divider…what a fab idea!!! But, I love them all!

  • Staci A

We’d love the compact snack container. It’s the perfect size for my little guy’s snacks and looks durable and easy to open.

  • Jaime

The snack container would be perfect for my first grader! Would love to win this!

I think I would get the most use out of the snack container, but I also like the family size container with all of the picnicking and potlucking we have been doing this summer!

  • http://twitter.com/laneV Lane Vega

    I think I
would get the most use in for me would be the family size . With fall I am sure
soccer practice is going to be -”I’m hungry MOMMA” time. It looks
like a great option for keeping fruit and veggies handy to feed *ahem* nourish
    the kiddos.

Although it is tough to select just one, I would love to win the Deluxe Sandwich and Salad container. I take my lunch to work on most days and like the idea of having a convenient, reusable, non-toxic, cost effective way to take my lunch to work. The Deluxe Sandwich and Salad container would be perfect to enjoy a variety of healthy salads during the work week.

  • Juliana P.

Thanks for offering this giveaway. I am most interested in the Deluxe Sandwich and Salad Container because I like the larger size. I enjoy your blog!

  • Erin McElwee

I think that the compact snack container would be such a great thing to have. I’d be able to bring a snack for my 2 year old that’s a little bigger and have a smaller area to store something softer for my 6 month old. Plus I love how environmentally friendly the containers are in general…

  • krista kim

I would love the Steeltainer SE-560 because it is the perfect size to pack up a small preschool lunch. I would use little divider cups to do a bento style lunch.

  • Anna

The snack containers look awesome for taking baby food in

  • http://www.facebook.com/hforeman1 Heather Foreman

I think the Deluxe Sandwich and Salad Container would work best for us because my daughter who just entered second grade has just developed a larger appetite ( and is going through a biiiig growth spurt!! ) and I think the size would suit the amount of food she would like to take :) I have been trying to get into bento and this seems pretty perfect—plus online ordering is most convenient for me because I sort of live in the middle of nowhere ;) Thanks!! :)
