One month into this project and I have to confess that I’m a little less enthused about it. How have I determined that? This is the first week that I didn’t jump to put my layout together on Sunday afternoon. Yes, I waited one full day to start on it. Shocking, isn’t it?
I took a more low-key approach this time — fewer photos, less Photoshop work, more handwriting. I still had more photos than I had room for, but I made the choice to tell fewer stories and I’m OK with that.
Sunday was a big day for Zach and me because we went out to see a show in San Francisco! I included a photo of the performers on stage and taped the ticket stub onto some of the dead space in the photo. Monday’s photo illustrates a story about how Augie and I played together over breakfast. For Tuesday, I had a photo of the sunset as the boys and I walked home from a play date. That photo — like most of the photos I used this week — is a phone photo and I can’t believe it came out so well. I also included a picture from dinner with Wyatt, my niece and my sister-in-law. I rounded out the page with a screen shot of the weather app on my phone showing how lovely the weather was this week.
Wednesday I included a picture of the pretty eggs my sister-in-law gave us from her backyard chickens. It’s a little hard to tell in the picture above, but the eggs were brown and turquoise. They were also super delicious! I also have a top-down photo of the boys working on an art project. I love me some top-down photos. Thursday’s photo is one I took with Instagram. No washing your feet in the sink at the library! The last two photos illustrate how cub scouts took over our family’s entire weekend — the Blue and Gold banquet on Friday and an overnight on a submarine on Saturday.
How was your week?
