Augie & Mama

A few months ago, I won a giveaway for some Cosmo Cricket scrapbooking supplies at the Ella Publishing Co. blog. The box came in the mail on Friday, and I was super excited to sit down and make some pages with the paper inside. Cosmo Cricket is my favorite paper company and I hadn’t even seen this line of paper yet. On Saturday — for the first time in ages — I made time to do some scrapbooking. I’ve really been wanting to do some pages about Augie since our photo albums have so few pictures of him in them yet. This paper pack is family themed so it was a great place to start.

The page is a selection of photos of us together that I pulled from a big stack. I took most of these myself with the stick out your arm and click method. Very sophisticated!

The journaling reads:

My dear little Augie — you are so special to me! I’ve been so piviledged to spend two years at home with you. I have loved being there for all your firsts — first steps, first words, first slobbery kisses. I know you so well and I love all the things about you that make you who your are. You’re my boy!

I’m very excited upon reading this over to discover that I misspelled the word “privileged” for posterity. Yay!

You rock! Is there anything that you can not do?

Ha! I don't even want to think about all the misspellings in my kids' baby books. Oh well, at least I wrote something! Your page is great, and reminds me to get started on my 2-year-old's scrapbook. I haven't even started yet, whoops!

Whooh, I had a little trouble getting here today.
My computer said something about 'domain name expired'.
Something wrong, or was it just my computer?

  • No, no — it was all me! My domain name registration expired and I didn't realize it. It should be all better now, but it took awhile for it to get fixed.

Oh I see.. You got me worried there for a while!
    I'm glad it's all okay now ^^

  • Speaking of posterity, I realized a few weeks ago when looking at one of my old scrapbooks – the last scrapbook I did – which was, uh, over five years ago – that I wrote down the wrong YEAR on a Halloween photo. How confused future generations will be when they do the math and wonder how Grandpa Ethan could be 2 years old and still crawling around on all fours. For gosh sakes.

  • It’s not just a good summary but a really good headline. This is the first thing people will be attracted to.
