Im a case manager in a remote isolated yet beautiful area on the Coastside El Granada californin 5 minutes from Half Moon Bay – Most of our clients our mothers with children- but we get very little hygiene and diaper donations, one could say the well is dry! Have you thought about suggesting Miracle Diapers or making cloth diapers from household items? Receiving blankets as flats? Covers can be made from old wool sweaters. Towels can become diapers. A disposable diaper drive is a short term solution to a long term problem – you're helping NOW and that's amazing, but what happens in a week when the same problem presents? A crafty mom can easily make a fitted diaper from scraps. Its a thought you may like to look into. Low income families can really really be helped by cloth, homeless living in shelters have access to washers/driers (as a former shelter resident, I can attest to this), and cloth is really gentle on little bottoms.
