Have you thought about suggesting Miracle Diapers or making cloth diapers from household items? Receiving blankets as flats? Covers can be made from old wool sweaters. Towels can become diapers. A disposable diaper drive is a short term solution to a long term problem – you're helping NOW and that's amazing, but what happens in a week when the same problem presents? A crafty mom can easily make a fitted diaper from scraps. Its a thought you may like to look into. Low income families can really really be helped by cloth, homeless living in shelters have access to washers/driers (as a former shelter resident, I can attest to this), and cloth is really gentle on little bottoms.
