September 17, 2009: I took this on the walk to morning care with Wyatt and our neighbor. They are stopping to look at a fork that is laying on this short brick wall we pass along the way (you can’t see it in the picture). Every time we pass this wall, they stop to see if it’s still there. And every time they find it, they say “Oh my GOSH! It’s still there!”

September 18, 2009: Some cherry tomatoes from our garden. They really only started coming in this month. I’ve been pretty unhappy with the yield from our plants this year, but what we’re getting is pretty good so I’m savoring them.

September 19, 2009: I tripped over a toy in the living room and twisted my ankle a little. It wasn’t too bad of an injury, but I decided to ice it down because it hurt and I didn’t want it to get worse. Augie was completely fascinated by the ice pack and kept coming over to lick it. Of course, once I got the camera out, he stopped trying to lick the ice pack and started to try to lick the camera lens.

Oh, come on. Don’t try to tell me your baby isn’t obsessed with licking cameras too….

September 20, 2009: At back to school night, I volunteered to assemble little reading books for Wyatt’s kindergarten class.

264

September 21, 2009: Augie likes to sleep with his feet pressed up against the crib slats.

September 22, 2009: This was the first day Wyatt’s class got to visit the school library. He was so excited when school got out that he promptly ran away from the other kids and sat in a little nook outside his classroom to look at his book while I chatted with some of the other parents.

September 23, 2009: This what my kitchen counter looks like in the mornings as I’m preparing breakfast for the kids and packing Wyatt’s bentos. The Shamu mug there contains a ginormous quantity of tea with milk and sugar in it.

    Aw-w Wendo,
Uncle Dan and myself would definitely walk by a wall every day and stop to see if the fork was still there. We would also say, “Oh my gosh. It's still there.” Another genetic marvel.
Wyatt is precious running off to read his book. Keep it going as long as you can. (Forever, I hope!) Augie looks just like you. Did you like to lick ice bags? I love you all !

i can't believe what a complete an utter 50/50 job Augie is. Wyatt mus take after a relative, or an alien (seems like he is one).

that one of Wyatt reading is a STUNNER! stealing it and the sleeping ones for two books I am making. u will get credit (and maybe money). k?

  • What is it with kids and camera lenses. I don't think I had my camera 2 days before my two year old touched my camera lens. Thank goodness for micro fiber clothes!
