March 26, 2009: Playing on the iPod before preschool.

March 27, 2009: Augie looks mighty cute in that there cowboy hat. Yessiree!

March 28, 2009:The boys and I took a walk around the neighborhood and did some errands. First stop, the movie store for some DVD’s. Next Starbucks for a treat. Then to Peet’s to buy Daddy some coffee. This photo was taken on the San Pablo, just in front of the El Cerrito Plaza as we walked from Peet’s to Trader Joe’s for dinner fixings.

March 29, 2009: I took the boys to the steam trains up in Tilden Park. This was Augie’s first time on the train, though I’m not sure he even noticed that he was there. I feel pretty lucky to live near something as cool as these trains. These are probably my favorite kid-centered activity in the East Bay. I’m so glad that my kids will have them as part of their childhood.

March 30, 2009: Monday we had dinner at Everett & Jones BBQ with Robyn, Tjames and Dan. We don’t hang out with these guys nearly enough and it was a great treat to spend an evening with them.

March 31, 2009: I didn’t trim Augie’s nails soon enough and he woke up with 3 or 4 big bloody scratches on his face. Ouch! I hate seeing that perfect baby skin marred like that.

April 1, 2009: Playing out on the sidewalk in front of the house after preschool. Wyatt and I collaborated on this nebula drawing. I did the chalk work, he handled the squirt bottle.

You are such a wonderful Mommy. You do many interesting things with the boys. I didn’t know you were close enough to walk to all those places. Grrrreat! And you are correct in saying Augie is precious in that hat. Hugs from Aunt D

What great photos! But especially the baby in the cowboy hat. That one’s just–wow. Almost intolerably cute. I want to nibble his earlobes!

Cowboy Augie is definitely a winner. I also love the water spray work on the chalk drawing. Good technique, Wyatt!

How fun to get involved in your life. These pics are a real treat. Augie needs to borrow the pink stetson I bought Rachel. It was so small Cherise had to put her hair in a top knot and perch the hat on top of it. Good fun.

You can bet the farm that Aunt Linda and Uncle Dan would be availing ourselves of those cute trains and I too will cast a vote for Augie in the cowboy hat as a winning photo. Using the water bottle with the chalk drawing is absolutely brilliant! It’s just like using fixative and re-working with pastels. This takes sidewalk art to a new level Wendy!!
