Tuesday I sent baked tofu cut into chunks and arranged in a checkerboard, a piece of banana, some grapes and these weird crackers that Wyatt loves.
Wednesday’s lunch was not a bento, but it was a super hit with the boy. He got leftover mashed potatoes (in the Thermos), sliced strawberries and some Transformer fruit snacks (aka: candy). This isn’t the most balanced lunch I’ve ever packed and I don’t send total crap treats very often, but once in a while I think it’s nice to give your kid a meal that will make him deliriously happy. Nutrition be damned!
Thursday’s lunch box had a home made mini dinner roll, hot dog chunks, catsup (in the little yellow box) and strawberries. Looking at this photo after the fact, I realize that this lunch probably got completeley jumbled up on the trip to school. It’s not packed tightly enough for everything to stay in place, so it’s likely that everything got tossed around in the box.
Today’s lunch was peaches with sprinkles, a bun (not the home made ones) and a new kind of baked tofu, honey sesame.
Have a great week everyone!
