I’m thinking about my Grandma Ruby today. She died a year ago and she’s been on my mind a lot lately.
- She was a good woman.
- She made the best pickles.
- She worked very hard in her life.
- She raised five wonderful children, my mom, my aunts and my uncle.
- She only swore when she talked about Nancy Reagan.
- She looked beautiful when she wore pink.
- She had wonderful hair, her Grandma Ruby hair.
- She called margarine “oleo”.
- She always smelled pretty.
- She made good cookies.
- She was like the Energizer Bunny.
- She gave so much love.
- She was loved so much.
- She is missed terribly.

What a lovely tribute. I hope someday my grandchildren talk about me the same way.

Wendy, just got around to reading your blog. I am of course crying about the beauty of your tribute to Mom. I too have been thinking about her this week. Thank you for wonderful sense of language. I love you and Grandma did too.
